This bill affects everyone — not just U.S. citizens. Anyone with a Facebook account could now have their data shipped directly to the U.S. government. That’s why Internet users overwhelmingly oppose this bill. Over 1.5 million people signed petitions against it. But Congress didn’t listen.

Does this remind you of something? Yep, this is the exact position we were in with SOPA last year. Then the Internet rose up and we made history with the SOPA strike.

This spring, we’re going to organize the largest online privacy protest in history to make sure that CISPA goes the same route as SOPA and doesn’t become the law that breaks the 4th Amendment. Are you in?

CISPA threatens our most basic rights. Privacy is important not just for our security but for our rights to freedom of expression. The giant tech companies that stood with Internet users against SOPA are not going to help us this time (but some of the large sites like Mozilla, Imgur, and Reddit are all against CISPA and we love them).

Okay, so, obviously, I’m a big ball of feels. I mean, sure, this couple is the reason I started watching the show…and was my favorite couple on the show…and one of my favorite couples in general…and Sybil was my favorite character…so, yeah, I’m in a huge mess of not okay.

With this episode, Julian Fellowes has jumped to the top of my list of People I Need to Punch the Living Fuck Out Of, beating James Cameron (for making Avatar, then deciding to make two sequels to said shitstorm) and John Williams (it’s a long story involving a breakdown, the Hollywood Bowl, and one of the worst nights of my life).

Not my best work, but I’m working through feels. The transitions in some parts might look a little weird or the overlay might be too strong, but, well, I can’t look at this anymore. Vegas was being a bitch as I got closer to finishing it. It would just randomly crash when I tried to add the motion blur, so I had to put it back on just before I started rendering or else everything would go to hell.

I know this song is really overused, but I dare you to find a better Bransons song. Can’t? Thought so. Also, you know, I’m finally getting on the Mumford & Sons’ train. I used to think they were really over-hyped and overrated, but, now that my friends who adored them are saying that they never got the appeal, I’m finally getting into them. So it goes.

Also, I really mangled the song. I mean, usually, I just take the first verse of a song and add on the final chorus where the verse usually goes into the chorus, but, um, you cannot do that with this song. So I kind of ended up just cutting wherever I could. I mean, it sounds okay, but if you know the song (which everyone does), it does sound a little strange at times.

I also want to point out that, because of the text and overlays, there were over 20 layers in this video. I mean, that may not sound like a lot, but when you’re used to, like, 4, tops, it’s weird. And can get a little confusing.

So, adore the text. I spent forever on it. I remembered why I usually don’t match it word for word. But I love the word-for-word look, so I can’t really regret it…

I made the coloring myself, by the way! :D I’m so proud! ^_^

So, this is what I was working on whilst up in Morro Bay the past few weeks. I mean, I could’ve been working on my entries for Prodigy Games or Epiphany Contest, but every single time I opened my laptop, I needed to work on this. Seriously—this couple pulls me through my bouts of depression like no other. It’s remarkable.

So, yeah, I don’t think this is the most amazing thing I’ve ever made, but, hey, I’ve noticed an influx of S/D love, so I felt all warm and fuzzy inside.

This has no story. It did originally, but that died. It was a bit about how Steve was holding on too hard to his past and it was making him lose his future with Darcy, but then that was not the case anymore.

Okay, so, can we all agree that I should not have been Fire? I am the worst fire ever.

I apologize to my teammates, to my friends, to my family, to anyone I’ve ever passed on the street. This isn’t as effectsy as it should’ve been. Plus, the first 5 seconds are REALLY glitchy and I could not figure out how to fix it.

So, this ended up having a lot of Azula. Go figure. I mean, I like Azula and I think she’s really interesting as a character, but I wasn’t even trying.

Also, I do not regret the blatant overuse of Toph and Maiko in this video. :D

EDIT: I wish I could apologize for the fact that I used “The Beach” and “The Blind Bandit” fourteen bajillion times in this video. But those episodes are fucking awesome, so I refuse to apologize. xD

OH MY GOSH, I LOVE MY THUMBNAIL!! That kind of just made my day. ^_^

Okay,so you know how you get these ideas in your head that are amazing and epic and then you try to do it and it turns out like shit?

Yup.

My problem is that, even though I’ve learned how to do all these effects (and I know a lot more that I ended up just not using), I don’t think in effects. If that makes sense. When I edit, I pick clips and set them to the beat or use velocity but I don’t really….ah, this doesn’t make sense.

I guess the easy way to say it would be that I don’t think about the effects I could use when I’m making the video—only after.

But, I must say, the part of this video I’m super proud of (that no one will probably notice) is Zuko at 0:39. That mask took me forever, and you better all notice and love it. xD

Also, I just want to say this: Maiko is the best pairing in Avatar. Holy. Shit. I adore them so much, I cannot even. CANNOT. I AM UNABLE TO CAN.

(Oh, and of course there’s a huge mistake in this…I won’t point it out—hopefully I’m the only one that notices it, but, of course. That will haunt me until the end of time…)

Originally, I was going to do Thor/Jane for this, but, about ten seconds after I set up the file and marked all the beats, I realized I probably was going to change couples.

I had been tossing around the idea of using Kolly for a few days, and, finally, today I just went with it. I’m actually glad I did.

As you’ve probably noticed, 99.9999% of my ships are heterosexual. Not because I don’t ship gay couples, but because I only ship canon gay couples, which are few and far between (I know what some of you are thinking: “But Katie, you edited Johnlock!” That’s because a certain pairing involving the star of AVPM was taken, but I REALLY wanted to be in the MEP. I do not ship Johnlock. Nothing personal. I just love Sherlolly. ^_^).

So, wanna hear my thoughts about True Love?

I didn’t like it that much.

Most of the characters were completely unlikeable.

I’m still not over David Tennant’s episode (he made Joanne Froggatt/Anna sad—isn’t her life hard enough with her husband wrongfully imprisoned?!).

I was really disappointed that the series wasn’t living up to my expectations.

Then along came Kolly. They make up for every fault in the show. The only wrong thing about their episode? TOO. FUCKING. SHORT. TT_TT

I think the series would’ve been better if there was a little more continuity, y’know? I mean, it was loosely held together, and it wasn’t in chronological order. And it didn’t seem like there was any reason behind it, either.

But, I will admit, I like episode 4 and 5 more, as well. But episode 3 takes the cake for me. ^_^

And I’m only addicted to motion blur a little. ;D
